“I have read your book Blow Out the Moon so many times, and loved it every single time! You once came to my school... I was in 4th grade at the time and now I'm going into 7th grade and still reading over and over your book!” -- a reader
Blow Out the Moon was written in the early days of the Web and Libby first published it there, along with photographs of the boarding school, how to do many of the things the characters did (cat's cradle, songs, games), and stories they read and wrote. Children read it and emailed Libby; a school district put the book and Web site on all the computers in their system; Yahooligans and others recommended it.
Libby didn't approach editors until she had a packet of emails from children and recommendations from schools and reviewers. Children's Literature called the novel “entirely refreshing” and the companion Web site “a delightful compilation.”

WATCH LIBBY DEMONSTRATE IS THAT THE BUS? ACTIVITIES HERE.
“All day a young boy sits by the window waiting for his older sister to get home from school. Whenever he hears the sound of a car, he quickly peeks outthe window to see if it is the school bus. He listens for the bus but instead hears the "Boom" of a garbage truck and the "Vrrrm" of a motorcycle.
As the day passes by, the boy plays with his toys, until finally, he hears
"Eeep!... Eeep!" The boy runs outside to find his sister arrived home. Theyshare a warm hug and spend time together playing. This special story is abeautiful depiction of sibling bonds. Young children will be encouraged tonot take their siblings for granted but rather cherish the time they spendtogether. Older siblings will also be reminded their younger siblings often look up to them, thus, instead of pushing them away, it is important to show them you love them. This board book is perfect for children aged 2-4.”
Libby has also ghostwritten business books for adults, picture books for Little, Brown and done work-for-hire for Scholastic.
