The launch party in the hut for Is That the Bus? (latest book). The children drank sparkling lemonade and ate treacle pudding. The grownups and I drank champagne and I read the book while the children made the sound effects.
The child hanging back from the treacle pudding is a visiting cousin who had just arrived.
